The best is always relative, but the idea of this video is to compare 3 models of the major brands present the domestic market: Apple’s Devices, Lenovo and Samsung.
Are 3 TOP models full line of features and qualities: are they the iPad Air, Apple; Yoga 10 Tablet, Lenovo; and Galaxy Tab’sfrom Samsung.
Check out the video and details:
Which tablet has the best Design?
As usual, the design is the first impression. All appliances have metal finish. We agree that design is a matter of taste, but pay attention to some details that can make a difference. The heaviest is the Yoga 10, Lenovo, with 610 grams; then, iPad and Galaxy Tab’s have virtually the same weight: 478 and 467 grams respectively.
Lenovo brings an interesting design, with a coupled support that allows him, on foot; and to facilitate time to hold the unit. Yoga has 8.1 mm thick. Once again, iPad and Tab’s are pretty close; the Apple tablet have 7.5 and the Samsung, 6.6 mm thickness. Although it is a matter of opinion, in terms of design, Apple and Samsung start this dispute with a technical draw; the two devices stand out, are very thin and elegant.
Best Tablet screen
The LCD screen of 10.1-inch Lenovo brings shipped the IPS technology and has HD 1280 by 800 resolution pixels. The iPad also uses IPS technology, which allows for greater viewing angle, but Apple’s Retina Display 9.7 inch Led rear lights and an even better resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels. The Samgung brings not only the largest screen-10.5 inches – but also the largest definition; AMOLED screen 2560 by 1600 pixels.
Here we were with two heights to compare. Lenovo with your HD screen and Apple and with Full HD screens Samgung. Yoga, of course, is in third position, under their opponents. Secondly, the iPad doesn’t let Air in color fidelity and high gloss. Anyone who has ever used an Apple device meets the quality screen Retina Display. Now the definition top of the Galaxy Tab’s is amazing. The contrast, brightness and colors of the Amoled screen of the device are impressive and leave no questions; in this round, the Korean won.
Best performance of tablet
Here at Smartercomputing, for the case of tablets, top of the line-the best of each brand – the performance of all of them is superior to most models found on the market. But still, it is possible to notice some difference between them. First, it’s worth giving a look at the numbers. iPad Air and Yoga 10 have a gig of RAM; already the device from Samsung brings 3 gig of RAM.
The Lenovo has in your heart a four-core processor with 1.2 GHz speed. The processor of 64-bit iPad A7 Air also has only two cores and clock of 1.3 gigahertz, but remember: in this regard, the device that offers better performance of hardware and software. The device from Samsung once again stands out, at least in numbers: the quad-core processor reaches up to 1.9 gigahertz speed.
If what determines the winner in this round is the combination of the operating system and device processing, here the fairest is enact more a technical draw between iPad and the Galaxy Tab’s. Both devices are extremely simple.
What the tablet operating system is best?
In the Digital Lab, we don’t assign winners at this stage of the comparison; operating system is a matter of taste. But some important information can help in deciding.
Of the three models, only one has different OS. The Air iPad and the new iOS8. The other manufacturers adopt Android software development, led by Google. Lenovo and Samsung bring the latest Kit Kat installed on the appliance. Interestingly, Samsung opts for own resources, that is, programs that change the usability of the system; the Galaxy Apps.
Which camera is best among the 3 tablets?
Before you try the cameras, the settings of each device. The Lenovo and the iPad have 5 megapixel cameras; the Galaxy already has 8 megapixel. The Apple tablet to differentiate by Crystal lens with five optical elements; While the Samsung is the only one with Led flash.
The photos in the Lenovo Yoga 10 are good, but are still lower than those of its competitors. The camera app brings various controls and the quality is already compared to smartphones intermediaries found on the market. Once again, in a much more high level, despite the same amount of megapixels of Lenovo, is the iPad Air. The image resolution and color fidelity is much higher. And the new operating system brings iOS8 interesting functions as timer for selfies, time-lapse, panoramic pictures and even brightness control at the time of the click. But the round, once again, was defeated easily by the Galaxy Tab’s from Samsung. The 8 megapixel camera combined with the high-definition screen is impressive. Color fidelity is the largest of the category and the application to photograph is the most complete of the three models. The flash is very useful when low light conditions; and the front camera of the Korean model is also HD, with 2.1 megapixels. That makes it easy to choose.
Of course, all tested smartphones also record videos and bring front cameras. As we just said, the front camera of the Galaxy Tab’s impresses. The device records videos in Full HD with 30 frames per second. The iPad Air, also shoots in Full HD and brings an image stabilizer to prevent shaky videos. As well as your main competitor, the front camera, despite having only 1.2 megapixel, also writes in high definition. What caught our attention negatively was the placement of the camera of Lenovo Yoga 10; the camera gets right in the bottom that they did to insure better – most of the time, to photograph horizontally, your finger will be in front. Smarter, to facilitate vertical and horizontal images, the device from Samsung is the only one who brings the camera strategically placed in the middle of the device.
Evaluation of storage space
The model with greater storage space is the iPad Air, with 64 gig of memory. Then, the models from Lenovo and Samsung bring 16 gig of internal space, but offer the possibility to expand-and quite this memory-with the use of microSD cards. So, with the possibility of expansion and with the idea that you can never have too much memory in this regard Lenovo and Samsung reach a tie more than fair.
What tablet battery is best?
Test battery is a little tricky, but experiments and information of own manufacturers realize this: the Galaxy Tab’s, Samsung has battery with a capacity of 7900 milliampere-scale control currents. According to data from Apple itself, the iPad Air lasts up to 10 hours of use in Wi-Fi, with its 8600 milliampere-scale control currents. Lenovo, promises better energy efficiency category; a 9000 battery milliampere-scale control currents hour lasting up to 18 hours of use on a single charge. And with these data, the Lenovo wins the round “battery”.
Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-fi and GPS all models tested. 3 g or 4 g connections, only iPad and Galaxy Tab S bring and end up getting all tied up here too.
The Galaxy Tab has a ultra battery economy function and brings a biometric sensor fingerprint recognition well I need to unlock the device. The model also carries a infrared LED sensor that lets you use the tablet as a universal remote control on a number of devices.
What is the price of the tablets?
Of course, your decision can weigh in your pocket. The Lenovo Yoga 10 is the cheapest of the three, with suggested price of 1250 reais. Then, the Tab’s, Samsung, is sold by 2050 reais. The most expensive, but not much more than your biggest competitor is the iPad Air, which is found in stores for real 2250.
It is important to highlight that in the Digital Lab we’re not evaluating cost-benefit, but rather the best tablet top of the line. Despite being the cheapest of the three, the Lenovo Yoga 10 takes the third place in this race. Still, the model stands out for the best battery between the three and the possibility to expand the internal memory with a microSD card. Second place went to the Air, Apple iPad. The device offers excellent performance and the design of the Apple brand always stands out. But the Grand Champion of this time was the Samsung Galaxy Tab-S. The device offers incredible performance with its 3 gig of RAM and your four processor cores. The tablet impressed by the quality of Korean Amoled screen and also with your 8 megapixel camera – in fact, it is the only model with built-in Led flash. Not to mention energy efficiency and biometric reader. All these partial victories have put the Tab’s the winner this time.
