I’m going today to introduce a new category of my site dedicated to the testing of watches. In these tests, you will find in fact essentially a discovery of my own watches.
The first that I present to you was for me a real favorite. If you follow this blog, you have to hear, the Tissot Le Locle Automatic Watch PVD rose gold. Purchased there is now a more than a year, I am really satisfied!
Presentation of the Le Locle chronograph automatic
While the House Tissot, who celebrated in 2013 160 years, is rather known for its medium or low-end watches, Tissot offers us a much more refined and prestigious creation. Indeed, this range Le Locle, launched on the occasion of the 150 years of the House, was supposed to pay tribute to this great House of watchmaking Swiss, certainly less prestigious than many other brands, but which had the advantage of making it accessible to all the world Swiss watchmaking.
A chic and elegant design
Tissot thus resumed the primordial model of Tissot Le Locle to release this version automatic COSC.Because in addition to having a movement for more precision, the subsidiary of the Swatch Group also changed the design.
This timepiece yet again the same housing fine of 39 mm, but the main change which has its importance lies at the level of the index. The twelve numerals of the original version are replaced by four Arabic numerals (for 3 h, 6 h, 9 h and 12 h). This simple change to make the look of the much more modern Le Locle Automatic Watch , while keeping a true grace.
Side color, I chose the version PVD rose gold, because I love this color I think chic and modern at the same time. This last result has a leather strap black, of a rose gold PVD case with a Black guilloché dial. However, you can also opt for a steel (with steel or leather bracelet) version or in PVD gold and steel (PVD bracelet with steel).
Little more of this watch, it offers a Sapphire (just like Sapphire ice) which allows to admire the COSC of the watch movement. However, I find it unfortunate that this background is shared into two parts, which prevents to see Automatic caliber.
A winning movement of the Chronometry contest
Workhorse precision, Tissot Le Locle COSC has, it is true, won the International contest of Chronometry of the Locle in 2011 in front of many more expensive contenders and most noble origins. It’s so Automatic caliber 2824-2 prepared by Tissot for pass the COSC standards that fits this beautiful show. The movement has a frequency of 28 800 movements per hour and it has 38 hours power reserve.
My point of view on this Tissot Le Locle
After have submitted you this very nice Tissot Le Locle Automatic Watch, I’ll give you my opinion on this watch. As you probably guessed, I really love this watch and I wear it almost every day, except during physical activity.
Among the positives of this watch, so there the design (although this is personal), precision of the watch, the Sapphire to admire the movement, the finish of the watch and its really attractive value that allows to enter the real watch for a little more than a thousand euros. The Tissot comes in a beautiful box with a little book on the history of the Tissot watchmaker and a cloth to take care of his watch.
For negative ratings-well Yes, there are-this Le Locle offers only 38 hours power reserve. Therefore a bit low if one is not wearing his watch on weekends. Provided with this timepiece leather strap is also a real weak point of this watch with a short life span, because after a year, he is already strongly damaged!Another small weak point, the number of hole a little limit to adapt to any wrist.
The white window on a black dial is also often criticized on various forums as an aesthetic mistake for this Tissot. I can’t find this too annoying problem, but for some it can really hinder. Last point, this version of the Locle automatic COSC is available to 500 euros more than the classic version of this watch. A bit pricey, right?
