When choosing LED light bulbs, it is necessary to compare the data with a luminous flux (lumens number) instead of watts. The more lumens, the more light LED bulb gives. Sometimes you come across a seller who sell LED bulbs obsolete technology, which have a higher consumption (more watts), yet fewer lights (less lumens) than new technology. The customer then has the false impression that buys more powerful bulb. But actually buys something that shines less and consume more power.
Some dealers say luminance LED bulbs compared with an ordinary light bulb. This information is very important, but in many cases it is mildly distorted. It is good to check on him just over a unit of luminous flux – lumen (lm). Ordinary bulb of 25W is 220-230 lumens, 40W has 410 to 430 lumens, 60W is 700-750 lumens. If you would anyone claim that the LED lamp shines as an ordinary 40W light bulb, yet has 300 lumens, he is lying! Equivalent performance LED lamps over incandescent bulbs can easily check the following table:
Classical lamps with metal fibers LED bulbs
15W 90 lm
25 W 200 lm
40 W 400 lm
60 W 700 lm
75 W 900 lm
100 W 1300 lm

Beware of outdated technologies. They still sell old led bulbs made of LEDs with bubble cap top. We become so junkyard sells a very outdated technology that has more value to waste. On the Internet (by conventional stores rather not mention) you will find plenty of ice bodovek with just bubble cap diodes, which at first glance to conveniently and economically. Typical parameters of such LED bulbs are low energy consumption, eg. About 1.5W and low price eg. 90, – CZK. However, I will never reveal sweet secrets – what you buy at this price, you will turn around as a pocket flashlight. So, as the equivalent of wax candles is such a lightbulb expensive because it is unnecessary.
For this reason, it is good that the laws should be on the cover of each LED bulb indicates how much lights per incandescent bulb. Thus, if the packaging contains the consumption of 4W, say, a LED bulb shines as equivalent to 30W conventional light bulbs, it is a clear indication from which you can deduce whether a bulb that meets your requirements. The problem is that a number of dealers, and even the Internet does not provide this information. It is either ignorant who do not know what they are selling, or, at worst, deliberately concealing this information, because very few sales LED light bulbs. Before buying led bulbs so be careful – if the seller does not automatically equivalent to conventional bulbs, it smacks at least unserious approach. Certainly this figure, as well as the number of lumens (luminous flux), request. Then yourself, check the instructions in the second paragraph of this article, and evaluate the seriousness of the information provided.

Problems with LED bulbs
In connection with the LED bulbs, it is good to highlight some of the problems that can arise when using them. Skip “problems” as the fright of small account, electricity, and we will concentrate on those real issues:
A flickering glow
Led lamp is quite sensitive new technology, which is enough to give light. Therefore, it becomes that if, for example, replace the LED lamps on the corridor, which is within a radius of several switches, which together control more lamps, LEDs can glow or flash. The problem can be easily removed – instead of just one LED bulbs in the circuit to give economical or conventional bulb. This will provide the necessary resistance to other LEDs or nežhnuly neproblikávaly. Alternatively, you can connect a resistor in the circuit, but it would have to make an expert. This problem occurs typically at a panel or other residential buildings, which will pass because of the savings in the common areas on the ice bulbs. This is only an aesthetic problem – glowing or blinking LED bulb does not damage or no current consumption – the system runs a minimum residual current that regular bulb budge, but slightly nitrate lights. It may not be just a hallway, in some cases, this also becomes necessary in the living room, where a chandelier dominates more switches. A similar problem occurs when the light source is connected to a motion sensor – again, typically in the hallways of apartment buildings – LEDs can blink. The same if you have a switch with a glow lamp. Solutions in all these cases is simple – just add one neledkovou bulb that will take care of the resistance, and glowing or blinking stops. If you do not mind glow, you do not even – not a problem, nothing and yet at night gives the hall a point of light for easier orientation.
While an incandescent lamp is a common problem Dimmable LEDs will not work with dimmer. Dimmable is caused by the current regulation – the less power a light bulb gets, the less shining, and vice versa. Led bulb behaves differently just had relatively little to give light to the fullest. Conventional LED bulbs are dimmable, therefore, dimming them will not work. It is necessary to buy special dimmable LED bulb that will work on a dimmer. Dimmable LED has a more complex design that allows dimming. Therefore, the dimmable LED light bulbs more expensive than ordinary.
The situation is different LED strips: all our LED strips are dimmable.
Warm color of light
While the cold light color with our LED bulbs fully corresponds to the color of light conventional fluorescent lamps, warm light color is not as yellow as the color of the light of a conventional bulb. The point is that too yellow light is not good for the eyes, so is the LED bulbs trend exaggerate yellow and light discoloration move closer to the daytime light color. The warm light color of our LED bulbs are nevertheless still yellow, only slightly less than that of a conventional bulb. Because someday one customer complained that our LEDs are not so yellow, like the one he had bought from Philips, the better we are. Everyone else understands that it is better to use light that is for your eyes better, but for those who must have the “beautiful yellow from Philips,” as had the man put it, it remains to them from Philips for their price, buy . It should also be noted that affect the color of light has a light cover. If you buy a bulb with frosted cover, it is clear that the color yellow lights will be less than the bulbs with clear cover – the cover turns milky color of light emitted by LEDs hidden underneath.
